- Fire Engineer - vacancy in the Central Consultation Team (CCT) part of Technical Fire Safety (TFS) - Prevention and Protection
An opportunity has arisen for a Fire Engineer to join the CCT, of the Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) by supporting the built environment with the planning, design and construction of buildings, from simple premises through to complex premises, ensuring they meet the requirements of building regulations.
The post holder will represent the Fire Service interests in relation to both public and firefighter safety on various industry steering groups and communities, seeking continual improvement in standards of safety.
KFRS are the enforcing authority for the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and you will provide technical support and opinion where critical risk issues are identified to a wide range of both internal and external customers.
The successful candidate will ideally be someone in the process of completing a fire engineering degree, with an understanding of fire engineering related design guidance, along with experience in evaluating fire engineered solutions in the built environment.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with excellent communication skills, who can maintain and develop positive customer relationships, working within agreed timescales.
