Kent Fire and Rescue Service has volunteer opportunities available to help the communities of Kent and Medway stay safe at home, on the road and at work.
This is a varied role for those who would like to make a difference, show an interest in being a volunteer for the Service, demonstrate reliability and provide us with a minimum of 4 hours of their time per month.
Roles will include assisting delivery teams with their safety messages in a variety of locations throughout Kent and Medway. Other tasks will involve helping Fire Stations with risk reduction activities or by taking part as a casualty at operational training exercises. We are also looking for volunteers to join our Volunteer Response Team, assisting communities that have been affected by fire, flooding or other emergencies that arise.
You will become part of a professional team, interact with people from diverse backgrounds and engage with the work that the Fire Service is involved in delivering.
Volunteers will not carry out any operational fire safety duties.
Successful applicants will be required to complete a DBS check.
Interviews will take place in June in Maidstone and Canterbury, dates to be confirmed.
