Kent Fire and Rescue Service is looking for a Project Surveyor to join their team of building professionals to deliver a variety of projects and work across the property portfolio. This is a 12 months fixed term contract position.
The Property and Facilities team is responsible for maintaining and improving the estate which covers the county of Kent and includes 55 fire stations, training venues, Service HQ, housing and the Road Safety Experience.
Reporting to the Head of Property and Facilities you will be work alongside other surveyors to deliver a variety of works and projects ranging from cyclical and reactive maintenance through to planned revenue and capital works across Kent. You will be also be responsible for managing your own portfolio of properties including Service Housing.
As a Project Surveyor you will be able to evidence how you have successfully project managed construction related projects, contracts, contractors and consultants as well as manage and monitor budgets and build relationships with key stakeholders and customers. Experience of public sector procurement processes would be an advantage, but is not essential.
We are looking for a building professional with either Building Surveying or Building Services experience, preferably MCIOB, MRICS or MCABE or evidence working towards these corporate qualifications.
